We are a Brighton based specialist college with a clear purpose:
to provide key life skills and person centred education
so that our students are confident and prepared to enjoy life to their fullest
and enter the world of work if that is a possibility for them.
We support young people aged 19-25 years who have Education Health and Care (EHC) plans for a range of complex needs relating to their Cognition and Learning, such as profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and severe learning difficulties (SLD). Many of our students have additional needs such as a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).
We provide a three-year course developed in line with the ‘Preparation for Adulthood’ themes of Employment, Independent Living, Friends Relationships & Community, and Good Health.
Our Curriculum page gives more detail about the programme of work and the qualifications our students are working towards. We also continue work on core skills like communication, functional literacy and numeracy.
We offer work experience placements with local employers, independent living skills in The Flat in Hove, therapy sessions, travel training and much more!
