I am very proud to be the Executive Headteacher for Downs View School, Link College and Downs View Life Skills College. I have been in role since September 2020 and it has been exciting to see how the college has grown and developed since then.
I am committed to ensuring the best outcomes for all children, young people and young adults with learning difficulties through outstanding education and care. The strong ethos that is nurtured at Downs View is strong on all sites with all staff committed to enabling all learners to achieve their best outcomes.
During Covid lock downs we adapted to meeting learner needs in new ways but it is fantastic to now be back to 'normality'. We welcome visits to the site and would encourage anyone interested learning or working here to come and visit. If you have questions or queries then please get in touch.

We are a Brighton based
specialist college with a clear purpose:
- To provide key life skills and person centred education to our students, so that they are confident and prepared to enjoy life to the full and enter the world of work if that is a possibility for them.
- We support young people aged 19-25 years who have Education Health and Care (EHC) plans for a range of complex needs relating to their Cognition and Learning, such as profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and severe learning difficulties (SLD). Many of our students have additional needs such as sensory needs or a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).
Our Curriculum Is developed in line with the ‘Preparation for Adulthood’ themes of Employment, Independent Living, Friends Relationships & Community, and Good Health.
